Fredericksburg, Texas

Located not far from both San Antonio and Austin, this small town is known for fields of wildflowers, distinct bed and breakfasts, and over 30 vineyards and wineries in and around the city. There’s also lots of history among the Texas hills in Fredericksburg. This city holds on to its German roots and celebrates its place as Lyndon B. Johnson’s birthplace.

Savannah, Georgia

Food ranges from casual barbecue to high end French cuisine, with something for every couple. The beaches of Tybee Island are just a 20-minute drive from downtown Savannah if you need a little sand and surf on your honeymoon.

Taos, New Mexico

The snowcapped mountains’ Ski Valley and a culture-filled desert town exist simultaneously in Taos. In this southwestern town, which is just under five hours from Denver in the car, there is everything from handmade chocolate to hot springs. Both Native and Spanish culture abound here and can be seen in the town’s architecture, art, museums, food and small businesses.
