Every year brings new bridal beauty trends. In 2019, brides will embrace a wide variety of trends, from tousled ponytails to metallic lipsticks. Meghan Markle’s effortlessly chic aesthetic, natural looks from fall’s bridal fashion week and the same mixed metals seen in wedding décor trends are all influencing 2019’s bridal hair and makeup.

Pinks

Pink is popping up on more than just cheeks. In addition to rosy blush, brides will use pink eyeshadow, lipstick and even lip gloss. Instead of the matte powders of the past few years, brides are opting for a bright, all-over glow in dewy shades.

Ponytails

After years of complicated updos and half-up styles, the classic ponytail is making a comeback. Bridal ponytails won’t be boring in 2019 though; look for sleek, blown out styles, loose waves, accent braids and natural texture.

Royal-Inspired

The simplicity of Meghan Markle’s wedding-day look means many of 2019’s brides will incorporate elements of it. Try face-framing tendrils, an understated (but still fabulous) bandeau tiara, a center part or a slightly undone updo.

Bold Accents

While the majority of a look may be natural, this year’s brides will highlight a feature or two with bold accents. Trends from the runway at bridal fashion week, like boldly colored lips (in shades like berry and ultra-matte red), thick brows and winged eyeliner, will help brides put the focus on their favorite features.

Mixed Metals

A trend once reserved for table décor is now wearable. Try adding metallic nail polish (or a metallic accent to neutral polish) or a shiny headband to dip your toes into the trend. Bolder brides can also incorporate bronze or silver eyeshadows, foil eyeliner and metallic lipstick into their look.
