Road trip honeymoons are all the rage, and a national park makes a great stop on your journey. Heading down Pacific Highway 1? Drive a few hours east for a stop at Yosemite or Joshua Tree National Parks. On the East Coast, Acadia National Park and Great Smoky Mountains National Park await.

Look beyond just the United States’ national parks when planning your honeymoon. Canada is home to 44 national parks. Banff National Park is a very popular honeymoon destination but is also one of the country’s more crowded national parks.
For a more secluded honeymoon, consider other gorgeous Canadian national parks, including Jasper, Torngat Mountains and Waterton Lakes. Ontario’s Point Pelee National Park, which juts into Lake Erie, is just a four-hour drive from Buffalo.
